SUMMER SCHOOL ON ARGUMENTATION IN CONTEXT 2014

The International Learned Institute for Argumentation Studies Amsterdam organizes the Summer School on Argumentation in Context 2014 in the week preceding the 8th ISSA Conference. The program focuses on the analysis and evaluation of strategic maneuvering in argumentative activity types from various domains, including the political, the medical, the legal and the academic domain. The Summer School will be taught by the members of the research group Argumentation and Rhetoric of the University of Amsterdam: Corina Andone, Frans van Eemeren, Bart Garssen, Eveline Feteris, José Plug, Francisca Snoeck Henkemans and Jean Wagemans.
The Summer School on Argumentation in Context 2014 will be held from Monday, June 23 to Friday, June 27. Participation is open to all international PhD students specializing in argumentation or having a strong interest in argumentation. The participation fee, which includes lunches and receptions, is € 150. Lodging is not included in this price, but will be offered against reduced rates. Because no more than 20 PhD students can be admitted to the course, interested students are advised to register as soon as possible, but no later than March 1. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
